23. Mooring/Muck Dive

Video coming soon!

Mooring depth: 40 feet (12m)
Maximum depth: 70 feet (21m)

For this dive, we will take you right outside the harbor where we rest our boats at night. This is also what we call our treasure hunt because you never know what you are going to see! Be ready to see some odd-looking creatures! Keep your eyes peeled as we check out a large sandy area for things like Pike Blennies, Sand tilefish, Stingrays, Queen Conch, or Shortnose Batfish. Commonly seen on the various concrete blocks are Octopus, Moray Eels, Flounders, Crabs, and Lobsters. Find some Pipehorses and Squat Lobsters in the rubble areas. Green Turtles and Razorfish love to hang out in the Seagrass. Since this dive is hard to navigate, we recommend keeping your guide in sight!
