Atlanta,
GA - On October 9 and 10, the
4th annual Action Sports and Adventure Travel Expo was held at the
Cobb Galleria Convention Center in Atlanta where Sea Saba's Lynn
Costenaro and Dive
Saba Travel's Beth Jansen represented Saba. While there, Lynn
had the opportunity to meet Charlie Mazel of NightSea. As a direct
result of their meeting, Sea Saba is proud to announce that Ross
Kniffin, Marketing Director of NightSea, will be visiting Sea Saba
during the week of October 16 - 23 with the company's new UltraMax
and UltraBlue lights.
During
his trip, we'll be "test-diving" an exciting new way of looking at
Saba's underwater world. The UltraMax is a portable high-intensity ultraviolet light, while the UltraBlue is a smaller light that emits a unique combination of ultraviolet and
blue that have been specially chosen to make corals glow using their
own natural fluorescence.
More than likely, you've seen black light posters or exhibits on land.
Now, imagine taking the light underwater where many corals, anemones, and other creatures light up with spectacular colors and patterns that you'd never expect from their normal appearance in daylight or with an ordinary dive light.
NightSea promises that this will be night diving in a whole new light, and we're looking forward to being the first to look at Saba's underwater world this way.
In a few weeks after we've had the opportunity to see Saba in a new
light, we hope to have some of John's macro photography using this
new technology right here at www.seasaba.com.
For more information and
additional photographs of how underwater creatures fluoresce, visit NightSea's web site at
