New in 2004, Sea Saba now offers three options to become nitrox certified as well as a one-day "Dive Today" option.  See our Training & Courses page of this site for full descriptions, explanations of the differences and pricing for each course.  PADI's new Enriched Air/Nitrox course has been streamlined to accommodate today's diving style of utilizing dive computers.  Once you have read the step-by-step PADI manual, you can become nitrox certified with two easy unobtrusive afternoon sessions without interrupting your diving holiday (or dinner plans!). 

So what’s the big deal about nitrox? Well for starters, how about the following?

Greatly increased safety margins with faster off gassing and less nitrogen absorption.  

Extended bottom times at both our pinnacles and shallower dive sites*.  

Less fatigue which translates to more energy during and after your dives.

Nitrox is not new to the diving industry.  In fact, it has been used in commercial applications since the early 1900's.  The widespread acceptance in recreational diving was only accepted once many myths were dispelled:

Truth #1	You do not need to purchase any additional diving equipment.
Truth #2	You can use your present regulator and change between nitrox and air provided you use a 40% mix or less
Truth #3	Although nitrox is used in commercial diving, it is now readily available at many diving destinations worldwide and is easily used in recreational diving applications.
